Lagos Rural Office Supplies Four More Communities In Ikorodu With Brand New Transformers

Members of one of the communities with the brad new transformers delivered to them by the Office of the Rural Development, Lagos State Government.

The Lagos State Government, through the Office of Rural Development, has continued its rural impact and transformation as four communities in the Ikorodu Division area of Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, have been provided with brand new transformers.

According to the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, the initiative is part of the continuation of the state government rural electrification initiative.

The transformers were supplied to the communities between October 28 and 29, 2025, with Heritage Estate CDA in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Golden Paradise Estate in Mowo -Kekere, Ewu-Agbo Community in Agura, in Ikorodu LG and Iradelu Itesiwaju Community in Imota LCDA, all benefiting from the rural electrification initiative of the state.

Receiving the transformers, the Chairmen of the benefitting communities — Mr. Basiru Alami (Heritage Estate CDA), Mr. Abolaji Oladeinde Frederick (Golden Paradise Estate CDA), Mr. Femi Taiwo (Ewu-Agbo Community), and Mr. Jimoh Sanmi (Iradelu Itesiwaju CDA), expressed their respective appreciation to the Lagos State Governor, for bringing the dividends of democracy to their communities.

They also commended the Office of Rural Development for promptly approving and distributing the transformers following their letters of request and the subsequent on-the-spot needs assessments conducted to verify their eligibility.

“The Rural Electrification Initiative is a key component of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES Plus Agenda, aimed at extending sustainable development to underserved areas across Lagos State”, Dr Agbaje said.
